Hailing from Minnesota, Hate Beast have created a reputation for themselves, playing with nationally acclaimed acts such as Silent Civilian and Paul Di'Anno. Fusing elements of old school metal and thrash, subtle influences of Sepultura, Pantera, and Slayer can be heard throughout their songs. From their debut Blade Swings Down, one can unravel their epic storytelling. Everything from tales of justice, illustrated by "The Executioner" to the year 2012 and the start of a new era with "Age Of The Fifth Sun." "I didn't want to call it something dumb, like '2012,'" says vocalist/guitarist Aaron Havlicek. "It's about the coming of a new age. If you follow the Mayan calendar, the world's not going to end, it's supposed to start over." After the losing their drummer last September, Hate Beast are back and ready to turn heads.
